If you read nothing else
This is an advisory family law practice in Florida. I do not appear in court, do not litigate contested matters, and do not become counsel of record. I offer three services: consultations, presuit resolution under limited-scope representation, and second opinions. Use of this website does not establish an attorney-client relationship. If you live or your matter sits in a jurisdiction other than Florida, you will need local counsel in your state.
Scope of practice
Aliette Hernandez Carolan, P.A. is a Florida professional service corporation. The practice is limited to advisory family law services: consultations, presuit resolution under limited-scope representation per Florida Rule 2.505, and second opinion engagements. The practice does not provide:
- •Court appearances of any kind.
- •Counsel-of-record representation in contested proceedings.
- •Litigation services, motion practice, depositions, or trial work.
- •Emergency relief — TROs, injunctions, ex parte motions.
- •Mediation as counsel for a party.
- •Domestic violence injunction proceedings.
- •Child welfare proceedings (DCF dependency or termination matters).
If your situation requires any of the above, I will refer you to a Florida attorney who handles that work.
